“For those about to rock!” AC/DC was formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. The band describes there music as simply “rock and roll.” Despite several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, membership revolved around the Young Brothers. One of their most famous albums, Back in Black was released in memory of their original vocalist Bon Scott after his sudden death. The album launched them to new heights of success and became one of the best selling albums of all time.
AC/DC has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, including 71.5 million albums in the United States, making them the tenth highest-selling artists in the United States and the 14th best selling artist worldwide. One of the most recognized logos in all of rock, AC/DC’s logo has been used for more than 30 years and was designed by Bob Defrin, the art director of Atlantic Records VP. The concept is based on Gothic lettering that gives “weight” and resembles the letters found in Gutenberg’s Bible, which is a well-considered reference to the semi-biblical title of the album ”Let There Be Rock,” where the logo appeared first.
This classic unisex jersey shirt fits like a well-loved favorite, featuring a classic crew neck, long sleeves and superior combed and ring-spun heathered jersey poly cotton. The assorted heathered colors gives this long sleeve tee a vintage and on-trend style, perfect for any occasion.
