Shock Cinema – The Chase 7"
"Shock Cinema draw influences from Krautrock (Can, Neu, Faust) to New/No-wave (Talking Heads, Pylon, The Slits, P.I.L). Southeastern ‘zine Stomp and Stammer has compared them to”Kim Gordon fronting The Cure.” Their early songs are essentially a soundtrack of sorts to Dante's Divine Comedy. “The Chase" and "The Wreck", the songs featured from this release, are songs from around this time. Shock Cinema is an Atlanta four-piece that formed in early 2005. Featuring former members of The Agenda and You Are Jaguar, Shock Cinema is a mixture of scene veterans and new blood. They have just signed a contract with indie label Thick Records. Their forthcoming EP will include remixes by Death From Above 1979, Subtitle, Thunder Birds Are Now!, President (Harris from Q & Not U), and Pretty Girls Make Graves. Rob’s House Records are proud to be putting out their first proper release."
